Mission

The mission of Musa Heritage Foundation is to empower underserved communities by advancing opportunities for innovation, education, and entrepreneurship. Inspired by the legacy of Elsie More and A. Wade Smith, the Foundation seeks to bridge access gaps for BIPOC and female founders, fostering an inclusive and equitable landscape in venture capital and beyond. Through strategic investments, partnerships, and philanthropy, we strive to create lasting social and economic impact, honoring the values of resilience, vision, and empowerment that define the Smith-Moore Legacy.

Supported Impact Ventures and Initiatives

In furtherance of its mission, Musa Heritage Foundation supports:

Musa Capital

Musa Capital is a venture platform designed to increase access to venture for both underrepresented founders and minority technology workers alike. Musa is unique in that by leveraging a never before seen operating model structure and incentive alignment, they have been able to build a robust network that optimizes unique and high quality deal flow while at the same time accelerating access to capital for underrepresented founders.

ASU Art Museum's Black Arts and Culture Council
Musa Heritage Foundation proudly supports the ASU Art Museum's Black Arts and Culture Council (BACC) because its mission aligns deeply with the foundation's commitment to empowering underrepresented communities through impactful cultural initiatives. By focusing on adding Black artists to the museum’s permanent collection and presenting contemporary exhibitions and programs, the BACC disrupts entrenched narratives and uplifts historically marginalized voices in the arts. Musa Heritage Foundation believes that the arts are a vital catalyst for empathy, innovation, and social change. The BACC’s dedication to celebrating Black artistry enriches the cultural fabric of our communities and inspires new perspectives that resonate far beyond the museum walls. Together, we can champion a future where diverse stories are not just included but celebrated, ensuring the transformative power of art reaches all corners of society.
