Mission

The mission of the Foundation for Response and Early Detection, Deterrence, Innovation, and Education (FREDDIE) is to confront one of the most under-detected and under-addressed forms of violence worldwide: alcohol- and drug-facilitated sexual assault. FREDDIE supports the development and deployment of innovative technologies, community activations, and evidence-based education designed to enable early detection, rapid response, and real deterrence — particularly in environments where individuals are most vulnerable to covert incapacitation.

Supported Impact Ventures and Initiatives

In furtherance of its mission, FREDDIE supports:

Stop The Spike

Stop the Spike is a patent-pending, wearable-integrated detection and response platform designed to passively identify suspected chemical impairment in real time.

The system establishes an individual biometric baseline and monitors for significant physiological deviation consistent with drug-facilitated incapacitation. When thresholds are met, it activates a structured response protocol — notifying designated safe contacts, enabling location sharing, and supporting rapid intervention.

Stop the Spike treats alcohol- and drug-facilitated assault as a detection and response problem, not a behavioral one — shifting safety from personal vigilance to passive, infrastructure-based protection.
