Mission

The mission of GEDI Foundation is to promote equitable investment in female and diverse founders with innovative solutions for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Its mission is to bring investment in talented male and female founders closer to par.

Program Overview

The GEDI Foundation catalyses investment into high-potential, women-led and AI-enabled ventures across frontier and emerging markets, with a focus on North Africa and the Middle East.

We work to identify and support founders building scalable and regenerative solutions in energy, healthcare, education, and financial inclusion—sectors critical to economic resilience and long-term stability.

The goal is to unlock overlooked talent and connect it to private capital, strengthening local economies, reducing systemic fragility, and generating sustainable returns.

Supported Impact Ventures and Initiatives

In furtherance of its mission, GEDI Foundation supports:

GEDI Ventures

GEDI stands for Gender Equity Diversity Investments. GEDI Ventures is a gender-lens venture capital firm established by a team of expert and diverse investors, futurists, technologists, impact pioneers and global CEO’s. The GEDI network comprises over 200 market leaders and global experts and focuses on the intersection of climate and gender, investing in countries at the forefront of the growing climate migrant crisis. GEDI believe that women, who are disproportionately affected by extreme weather events and forced displacement, should be part of the solution.

GEDI Academy

GEDI Academy transforms women entrepreneurs into investment-ready founders building AI-enabled solutions to global challenges. Through intensive training, mentorship, and venture design support, we help founders refine business models, validate markets, and develop credible growth strategies. Our curriculum covers responsible AI, financial modeling, governance, fundraising strategy, and term sheet literacy—equipping founders with the tools needed to scale. Partnering with leading institutions across MENA and Europe-including UM6P, QSTP, and QBWA-, we source exceptional talent and provide direct access to global investor networks. Graduating ventures are primed for impact and returns, creating a robust pipeline for the GEDI investment ecosystem.
