Founded by Emmy-nominated producer, actor, and impact storyteller Deborah Lee Smith, the Pink Boots Impact Foundation harnesses the power of storytelling to elevate underrepresented voices, challenge societal expectations, and create a more compassionate and connected world.

With more than a decade of experience in the entertainment industry and dozens of completed projects across film, documentary, podcasting, theater, and digital media, Deborah brings an established record of transforming meaningful ideas into stories that reach audiences. Her work has screened at festivals around the world, appeared on major streaming platforms, and led to invitations to speak about independent filmmaking, producing, and storytelling for social impact.

Through multimedia campaigns, Pink Boots Impact Foundation amplifies stories of women and individuals whose experiences have too often been minimized, misunderstood, or left untold, turning those stories into meaningful conversations and positive change.

It’s simple: When women are empowered to become the heroes of their own stories, they can shape the stories that we tell for generations.

Glitterbomb

Inspired by Deborah Lee Smith’s own true-to-life miscarriage experience, the award-winning short film Glitterbomb follows a woman on the verge of a career breakthrough who begins inexplicably pouring glitter during the most important virtual job interview of her life. Through dark comedy and magical realism, the film gives physical form to an experience that is often invisible: the expectation that women continue performing professionally and personally while enduring pregnancy loss in silence.

The film’s social impact campaign seeks to encourage open and honest conversations around miscarriage, to help those impacted by pregnancy loss feel less alone, and to connect audiences with stories, support organizations, and educational resources.
