Keith Spears
Keith Spears is an impact investment expert. In addition to his Partner role at LOHAS, Keith serves as CEO of his family office SBX Capital Partners. He is also a registered representative at Andes Capital Group, a broker-dealer. In these roles, he raises and deploys capital from investors to have an impact on a global scale, focusing on climate, health and wellness, education, financial access, and media. He seeks to deploy capital to generate top decile returns and have a tremendous impact.
Prior to working with LOHAS, Keith led impact investing at Tides Foundation, an $800 million AUM social justice foundation, where he supported impact investing for parties with donor-advised funds. Keith also performed COO, CIO, and Chief Compliance functions for Include Ventures, a fund of funds and direct investment venture capital fund focused on supporting diverse emerging managers and founders.
For over 30 years as an alternative asset professional with a particular expertise in impact investing and private equity, Keith has worked on over 150 transactions and investments that range from $1 million to well over $10 billion. He has advised on over $47 billion in transactions, including approximately $30 billion in 80 private equity fund investments and co-investments and $17 billion in 75 mergers, acquisitions, and related financings.
Keith received a JD from Yale (corporate law), an MBA from Stanford Business School (corporate finance), and a BA from Brown University (economics and urban studies). Born in the South Bronx, Keith currently lives in Oakland, CA.
