OVERVIEW

This session explores advancing planetary health through storytelling to mobilize public will and financing. Drawing parallels between the Radium Girls’ fight for justice and today’s movement for environmental equity, we show how narratives can transform awareness into resources and policy change. Through film, research, and community engagement, we spotlight the interconnected health of people and the planet. Leaders from the Planetary Health Alliance, Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs, Johns Hopkins Institute for Planetary Health, the Film & TV Steering Committee and the ECCA of the UN Climate Change Initiative, PGA Green Committee, and StoryWave Media will share solutions for impactful and actionable storytelling.
